  • 1995.12 The fi rst license for Mobile service was issued.

  • 1998 The issuance of frequency usage licenses began.
  • 1999.06 The Law on Radio Waves was approved.
  • 2001.10 The Law on Communications was revised and newly adopted.
  • 2002.01 The Communications Regulatory Commission became an independent authority.
  • 2002 Licensing for cable-based multi-channel television and radio transmission services commenced
  • 2003 The Law on Post was approved
  • 2005 The Procedure for the formation and expenditure of the Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF) was approved.
  • 2006 The Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF) was established under the Commission.
  • 2007 A unifi ed national postal zip code system was introduced.
  • 2007 CRC became a Development Sector member of the International Telecommunication  Union (ITU-D).
  • 2008 The National Radio Frequency Monitoring System was established for the fi rst time, enabling monitoring of the radio frequency band 
  • 2009 Licensing for multi-channel television and radio transmission services using Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) technology commenced.
  • 2010 Deployment of third- generation (3G) mobile communication networks began.
  • 2010.10 The National Program for the transition of radio and television broadcasting networks to digital technology was approved.
  • 2011 Regulatory oversight of television and radio broadcasting was strengthened, and systematic content monitoring of television programs was initiated.
  • 2012.01 The CRC participated in the ITU World Radiocommunication Conference 2012 (WRC-12).
  • 2014 Accredited as a conformity assessment body for communications equipment certification.
  • 2015 The regulatory policy framework for the introduction of next- generation mobile communication services in Mongolia was endorsed.
  • 2015 A fi xed radio frequency monitoring station was commissioned under a project supported by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning of the Republic of Korea.
  • 2015.10 Mongolia successfully completed the nationwide transition to digital terrestrial television broadcasting.
  • 2016 Licenses were granted for the provision of fourth- generation (4G LTE/LTE- Advanced) mobile communication services.
  • 2018 The Government Information Exchange System “KHUR” was launched into operation.
  • 2019.12 The Law on Broadcasting was adopted for the fi rst time.
  • 2019 Amendments to the Laws on Communications, Radio Waves, and Post were enacted,r esulting in comprehensive legal and regulatory reforms across the sector.
  • 2019 A “Green Channel” cooperation mechanism was established with Facebook.
  • 2021 Internet-based services (OTT) were included within the scope of multi-channel transmission services.
  • 2021 The fi fth mobile communication service license was issued.
  • 2023 Participation in the ITU World Radiocommunication Conference 2023 (WRC-23), resulting in the allocation of the 76–87.5 MHz frequency band for broadcasting services.
  • 2023 In accordance with the Law on Permits, licenses in the fi elds of communications and information technology were classifi ed and defined under 14 categories.
  • 2024 International cooperation was expanded through the signing of Memoranda of Understanding with the regulatory authorities of Malaysia and Thailand.
  • 2025.05 Licenses were issued for the deployment of fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication networks.
